In order to continue the deep influence of the 4th Eastern Civilization Forum related topics at home and abroad, continue to build civilized exchanges and mutual learning between scholars at home and abroad, and deepen cultural and artistic exchanges platform. Sponsored by the Mencius Public Welfare Foundation and Qufu Confucius Academy, and co-sponsored by the Search Group, the third "Eastern Civilization Summit Dialogue" will be held in Chengdu on March 30.

       This year's Summit Dialogue will focus on ";Mencius Wisdom: Under the theme of "Toward a Community of Shared Future for Mankind, Exchanges and Mutual Learning among Civilizations";, we invited Herman Van Rompuy, Honorary President of the Council of the European Union and former Prime Minister of Belgium, as the keynote speaker and guest of dialogue, to talk about mutual learning and integration of Eastern and Western cultures and consolidate the cultural foundation of a community of shared future for mankind.

       Herman Van Rompuy is known as the "miracle worker". He joined the Dehaene government in September 1993 as Deputy Prime Minister and Budget Minister. In December 2008, he became Prime Minister of Belgium. On 1 January 2010, he became the first President of the European Union. Van Rompuy, who has visited China twice, said he was a great admirer of the country's history, culture and cuisine and was "deeply impressed" by the speed of China's development.

       Since 2017, the Mencius Foundation has held a series of theme forums and related activities on "Oriental Civilization", so that people from different worlds, different fields and different industries can understand the real Oriental culture. So far, four sessions of the Eastern Civilization Forum and two sessions of the Eastern Civilization Summit Dialogue have been successfully held, which has influenced many international dignitaries and overseas celebrities to objectively recognize the Oriental civilization (Chinese culture), and practiced exchanges and mutual learning between Eastern and Western civilizations with concrete actions.

       It is reported that in 2024, the Mencius Foundation will hold 10 dialogue activities with different themes, and will also hold the Fifth Eastern Civilization Forum in August, to further enrich and deepen the content of exchanges, influence and lead more people of insight, make useful exploration for human development, and inject new vitality into social progress.
